A collection of wacky cartoons by Steve Leshin.
Cartoon Madness is a collection of wacky cartoons drawn with perilous wit and infectious humor by Steve Leshin, now in paperback. His cartoons have appeared in magazines, books and advertisements. With a forward by noted author Marc Catone, there is much to delight your funny bone.
Steve drew one-panel gags for various
trade and union publications, and eventually became a teacher and mentor for students in a class he taught on drawing cartoons. But he never forgot his friends. Over three decades, he designed Christmas greeting cards for me, and many novelty portraits for friends’ birthdays, anniversaries, and other commemorative events. He paid me the honor of collaborating with him on his cartoons...sending me one-panel gags without captions, and allowing me to submit several choices for each gag. ( I swear that the New Yorker copied that idea from him many years later ) Not long after our joint project, Steve provided a few Beatles-oriented drawings for my book, “As I Write This Letter”.
In addition to his many years of providing enjoyment to friends, readers, and pupils, Steve revealed his incredible imagination and wit with his book, “Vengeance Of The Ripper”, in which Steve pitted Wyatt Earp vs. Jack the Ripper in the American West.
Now, what else can this true Renaissance Man do to top all that he’s done? Well, you have the answer right in front of you...this book containing many of Steve Leshin’s funny and off-beat cartoons.
Prepare yourselves to be greatly amused.
