Adventure in Time
Young scientist Les Porter believes he has discovered a means of time travel. He enlists the aid of his friend Jon Ableman to assist him in an experiment. The proposed experiment is simple, to send a letter to Les' great grandfather in the nineteenth century.
Jon is shocked when Les drives to a military testing ground and produces a mysterious key to an unused gate to gain access.
The experiment goes awry as Jon and two soldiers accidentally get sent back to the wild west where Indians are still on the warpath.
Les, in his desperate attempt to get the accidental time-travelers back, has to enlist the help of skeptical army brass. Nothing goes right, however, and a Comanche War Chief and Les' ancestor both get sent to the twenty-first century.
Before all the time-travelers can be returned to their own times they each go through hair raising, but humorous misadventures.
The message to Jon and the soldiers had disappeared, but in its place stood an astonished looking Indian, in war paint, with a spear in his hand. His surprise, however, was no greater than that of the three white men and Nighthawk, who all stood gaping at the apparition.
The wild Indian was the first to recover. With a blood-curdling scream, he hurled his spear at them. They all hit the dirt and the spear hit the side of Les' van, piercing the metal. The spear stuck there for a moment quivering before slowly falling to the ground, its point still embedded in the van.
The warrior leaped past them, running toward the nearest hill, which was about a half mile away.
"After him," yelled the captain, leaping into the Jeep and starting the engine. Sergeant O’Malley tumbled into the other side and they roared off in pursuit of the sprinting brave.
