Rediscover God’s grace, mercy, presence, and love as author Moira Crooks shares her touching personal story of how God has brought her comfort, especially during emotionally difficult times. Let her show you how God gives Strength in a Smile through her daily experiences – during her happy days, challenging fourth pregnancy, spiritual endeavors, and other encounters after the birth of her daughter. As you listen to her thoughts, read her life episodes, and follow her spiritual journey, you will realize that God is always with you. Through her adversity, she almost fell, but her faith won – and she stood strong because God gave her the strength to go on.
Author Moira Crooks has always been steadfast in her faith in God. She has always felt blessed and loved by God. When she became pregnant with her fourth child – and found out that she would have a baby girl – she was ecstatic because she already had three boys. But after a few weeks of her pregnancy, she found out that her daughter would have a birth defect – a cleft lip and palate. Disappointment and anguish washed over her. She felt like the Lord wasn’t there with her. She felt so alone and inconsolable; that no one could comfort her.
She tried finding solace and comfort in things, but she realized that she was looking in the wrong places. True comfort is in God. He doesn’t give “false or temporary comfort” like our society is promoting these days – spa getaways, comfort food, luxury and satisfaction through material things – because true comfort is not a sedative that takes away the pain. True comfort from God is strength – as His strength comes, grief and affliction go. That’s what author Moira Crooks experienced – and rediscovered – in this journey. Accompany her as she realizes that God’s answer to her prayers is not to close up her daughter’s cleft lip and palate, but rather the strength needed to get her through it.

This book is a must read for anyone that is looking to find true comfort and strength. In the times that we are living, people are faced with struggles that are extremely difficult to deal with. Job losses, financial and economic distasters are looming, medical problems such as cancer, aids, etc. are on the rise, natural disasters, terror threats, foreclosures, loss of fortunes and retirement, or loss of loved ones. With all that is going on this world, how do we deal with our problems? Some turn to alcohol, drugs, and other worldly things that leave you feeling empty. This book taught me how to find comfort, strength and the courage to face problems, disasters and even death. I truly recommend that everyone read this book, it will help you find your way in this life. There are no gimmicks and no products to purchase, this book will show you how to find what you are looking for without investing hundreds of dollars. Infomercials, radio ads and television commercials all try to lead you down a path to purchase expensive videos, programs, food and drinks that they think will lead you to happiness, but reality is this, those things come and go and leave you feeling empty. If you want the strength of Samson, and the comfort of heaven, the path to find it is in Strength In A Smile.
