A mesmerizing and close to the bone escapade of words and heart!
A rare heart, a tattered soul, wilted courage, and hope dimly lit,
But hope sparked only, In tiny Firefly fashion and traced form, when he grasped and clutched pen to hand!

A dramatic and magical journal of heart. Painted and written in letter-format, a stirring, powerful, and empowering voyage in self discovery and raw honesty that mirrors the hearts of each of us.

Both penetrating and close to the bone, "Letters To Carla" jolts and awakens the searching and alert soul.

A grand and rare portrait of attempted honesty and rediscovery, a triumphant account of the human spirit to rise again, from the dust of complete and utter defeat, abandonment and betrayal,
his secular savior, and last hope.... his pen in hand, yes, the very one he abandoned and discarded in his youth now gone.

Rodney's tale and road back from his "Humpty Dumpty" fall, he in wilted courage and dimmed hope, etches upon tear stained parchment, his only friend, hoping to be remembered by someone, someday, somewhere in time...
enjoy the journey.......

Each letter is a story. Letters to Carla encompasses the story of one man's journey and life undressed. One man, lost, broken, stripped of all; forced to undress his heart and discover it in the same breath, by traversing a myriad of themes and places in the heart. This caravan of heart invites each reader to travel with the author and explore a source of truth, to share a legacy of words, bequeathed in love offered and opened, seasoned with humorous insight, dream chasing, adorned in childlike wonderment. Rodney tenderly tugs at each of us, animated by his desire that we hold his heart, while discovering our own. Here is renewed hope; an account of betrayal survived. A man's desperate attempt to etch his own epitaph, is penned to the only one he felt still cared and could be trusted; Carla, his exquisite childhood companion.

Quotes from "Letters To Carla: Chasing My Heart"

of value shall embrace it"

"Our Words shall rake the very earth in our essence and fragrance, if we make our deposits in honesty of heart"

" When your mind wakes up, your heart will show you wherein you have traveled"

" I for one, have been met seldom with compromised middle ground, that I immediately warmed up to"

This book is for all who wish to rediscover and revive their child-like heart from within. A most sparkling parade of words that propels the reader forward, page after page. "Letters to Carla" is a book you will carry with you day & night so you may take advantage of the opportunity to read whenever and wherever it presents itself. Simple wisdom that will transform your life even before you have read the final word. Easy to absorb because the language flows like a peaceful stream from the heart of the author. The most compelling book written in our time!

Rodney this book sounds interesting. I read the other reviews and if it is anything like your poems, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Six hundred pages Rodney, scares a fellow writer to death. My book started out with over three hundred. Then my final end up being one hundred and seventy plus pages. I told myself, it will be a long time before I write another book with this many pages. My next two books will be only about 130 pages.

Rodney if the copyright date at the top of this is right I have to say you look great for your age! *lol*
If the excerpts are anything to go by I know I would love to read this. Mal.
