I have only been writing for about four years now. I started out by writing a play that was to be played out at a church setting or park. Then it was layed on my heart to write this novel. It took me two years to write it, and I started writing it while I had my own successful construction business. I was working full time and basically writing at night. Little did I know though about the impact it would have to the people that have read it. I enjoy writing as I found that It is a very good way of expressing myself with emotions, using my imgination and creativity, and sometimes real life experiences that are tweeked a little bit. I also can't help to think that if a guy like me that has no formal education in writing experience prior to my book being published can write a book, others can too. I encourage anyone who ever thought about picking up a pen to do so. I myself, was motivated by the Lord Himself. He gave me the words to write in replacement of the worries I had.

| I found Scott’s first novel to be compelling – in story and style. From the beginning it was easy to get involved with Shawn and Amanda. Then when Angel is thrust into Shawn’s life, the reader knows more will happen, even though Shawn is reluctant to become a hero. What does happen went beyond this reader’s imagination; I got so engrossed I turned the pages eagerly to keep up with the twists and turns of a plot that produced a unique and exciting tale. The people Shawn meets become an integral and essential part of his life for a few days. People he would probably not meet under ordinary circumstances. But these are far from ordinary circumstances. Shawn is drawn into a world of intrigue and danger and, with help from an unexpected source, he dares to do what he must do in order to keep his family and friends secure. |
