The whole area was lit up with powerful lights. A fracus was developing down in "no mans land" between the inner and outer fence. One of the soldiers was screaming and hollering, "I'm not going to do another shift!" At the same time, he was waving his rifle around and now he was pointing it at the Lieutenant.
Billingsly commented to Cindy, "What the hell is going on down ther?" This was followed directly by, "Jesus Christ, Cindy, he is pointing his rifle at the Lieutenant. Get your sights on him," and when he said "Shoot him," she pulled the trigger!
Judy Davenport, camp director, is quizzing Rodney about his daughter:
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't be so inquisitive. I guess I find it a bit unusual to hear a single father who has raised a daughter so successfully."
"Well, I wouldn't say it has been by myself. I'm sure I have had a lot of help along the way. And I am sure Cindy has had a lot to do with it herself. She's pretty independent."
