Excerpt
After a few years, while working at my job, I receive several raises, and several Employee-of-the-Month awards. My work style makes its way to the attention of the President of my company. With no warning at all, I receive a promotion, a big raise and the request for me to move to our home office customer support team in the Midwest. The opportunity is too great to pass up and quite abruptly, I say good-bye to my grown daughters and I find myself in Michigan beginning the next step of a career. I never thought too much about a “career”, but now the word is appropriate.
