Not Much of a Crime

Excerpt

Quentin Schaefer waited until the women separated, then
quietly walked up behind his target. He was dressed in faded
blue jeans, work boots and a dirty Atlanta Falcons baseball cap.
He saw the fear in her eyes when he spoke. He didn’t see the
stun gun. His eyes were filled with hate, lust, anger, and the
knowledge that he held the power of life or death over this
woman.
Allison dropped her purse and stepped back toward her car.
“Get away from me,” she screamed.
He gave her a gentle backhand slap across the mouth. Falling
back into the car, Allison dropped the stun gun and reached for
the gun under her left armpit.
His left hand swept it from her fingers and it flew twenty
feet from them. Reaching both hands toward his victim, he ripped
open her blouse and jacket with one powerful stroke.
“Now, that’s a nice set of jugs, bitch,” he said. As he reached
for her bra, a single gunshot pierced the twilight… And his
temple.
Quentin Schaefer fell sideways away from Allison after
splattering her and her car with brain, blood and bone.
