Dream & Reality is a memoir about what led me into writing. I wanted to reach out to young people who like me many years ago feel it is okay to start an affair even when your parents do not approve. I shared my experiences, painful as it they were and tried to show why African parents should come out of their shell and really talk to their children about sexuality issues. It is about a time in my past when dreams had possible fulfilment but could go awry when parents do not talk. In my culture, a child is seen but not heard. We mange our compass as best as we can.


Excerpt
I tried to call myself by my first name in the morning as the dew dries up on the grass and I stream through the day trying to catch the sunbeam of my hopes. My name is Biola and I repeat that to myself over and over again so that I can get the rhythm of life and fit into creation.
