Their son lay spread-eagled across the bed, his mouth, agape. Across his face, in his hair and down his chest the black, hairy spiders swarmed.
Some were glistening wet, leaving little blood-red smears across the boy's face.
"My God--they're crawling into his mouth!" his mother screamed. But it was his father who understood what had truly happened to his son.
