It began with ONE mutant Tarantula. Soon there were MILLIONS of them--huge, vicious spiders--attacking Los Angeles. Habitating and nesting in the storm drain system beneath the city, to come out every night--in search of food. Guess WHO the food is.

Edward Levy's DEN of Horror.

Nature didn't create these monsters; man's arrogant stupidity did. The vicious, hand-sized spiders--spawn of an ecological nightmare--came swarming out of the Griffith Park Hills above Los Angeles, seeking life; seeking food. Seeking US. Non-stop suspense! Fast-paced horror in the classic style. A real page-turner. This book is guaranteed to give you nightmares.

Excerpt

Their son lay spread-eagled across the bed, his mouth, agape. Across his face, in his hair and down his chest the black, hairy spiders swarmed.
Some were glistening wet, leaving little blood-red smears across the boy's face.
"My God--they're crawling into his mouth!" his mother screamed. But it was his father who understood what had truly happened to his son.
"They're not crawling INTO his mouth," he uttered in horror. "They've hatched inside him, and now they're crawling OUT!"
