Someone evil walks the streets of South Lake Tahoe. The police can't catch him. Psychiatrists can't help him. The Church can't tolerate him, and even a woman's love won't stop him. Some say he's the Beast. The Monster. The unspeakable crime he commits over and over again, comes from something deep inside. Something that's been handed down from generation to generation. Even he doesn't know where "the deed" will take him next. He's a quiet, calm, good-looking man, dedicated to the family business. He is Satan's nightmare. He is Joe E. Green.
Excerpt
Joe suddenly felt like a fist had bored its way into his stomach, just below the breast bone. His eyes began to water. A hot flash worked its way up his chest, into his neck, then settled in his face. Every muscle in his body ached and he couldn't swallow. "Okay, gimme a minute...I'll calm down. Open my eyes again and it will be a different picture. Just one more minute." He opened his eyes. "No. NO! This can't be! If I ever get this close to her, it can't be this way! NO!"

Professional Reviews
Brian Hopkins
"What Jax Laffer realizes in the character of Joe Green is that there are no absolutes. No good. No evil. Just shades of gray. Most writers aren't even aware of the dichotomy. The few that are, and try to write with more honesty, generally fail in the attempt. Laffer pulls it off with incredible success and sincerity."
Gary Jonas
"Bolt the door and keep the lights on! Another Side of Evil is populated with outstanding characters and original concepts. Jax Laffer has turned in a tough and disturbing story about rape. No easy answeres here, folks. This will keep you thinking long after the final page is turned. Don't miss this one. You have been warned!"
Selina Rosen
"Jax Laffer's Another Side of Evil is psychological horror at its finest. Laffer shows the long-term effect of a horror that, unlike murder, leaves its victims alive and afraid. The story pulls you in and keeps you riveted until the last spine-tingling page."
