A book of 57 meditations for those facing changes in their lives due to illness or aging and experiencing fear or anxiety because of these changes. Each meditation ends with a prayer for the reader to speak to God.

This book is written for those in the wisdom years and will help people who are in the older years or those who are sick and in pain. It shows how people can grow in spiritual maturity and closer to God in difficult times.

As the colours in the forest burn brightly in the fall season just before winter, so our spiritual colours glow at times of advanced years or suffering. Wisdom comes through being with God in times when one might think that he is not with us.

Chapter titles are:

1. Waiting and Watching through the Autumn Days.

2. Working and Walking in the Autumn Days.

3. Gathering the Harvest.

4. Nourishment of Autumn.

5. Preserving the Harvest.

6. Sharing the Harvest.

7. Five Senses of our Spiritual Autumn Days.

Recently, on a September morning, the rain began at my early morning hour of prayer. It was just getting light in the sky and I could see the tall trees shrouded in mist. Tje glow of the orange/yellow/red/gold shone through the soft white curtain of mist. God knows that the Divine glory may be too much for us to take in, at times. Like the veil with which Moses covered his face when he turned to the people after speaking to God, the Divine glory maybe muted with a curtain, or quieted to a whisper, so that we will not be overwhelmed by God's great glory.
Excerpt from Chapter 54: Listening to the Sound of God's Love.
