1. GRANDPA BENJAMIN (ISBN 1-4241-2285-6, 5.5 x 8.5; 161 pp; Publish America, 2006.
Cost: 18.95.
This is a novel that is in the guise of the recollections of a grandpa, born into slavery, narrated to his grandson that reveals the lived history of his ancestors as told to him by his mother dating back to 1776 when two of his grandparents were kidnapped in Africa and enslaved in America. This is also the story about how Grandpa and his half brother, also born into slavery, established the Zeals Community and the Zeals School in a hamlet in the South, where they were bron and lived all the years of their lives and where for several generations many of their descendants were nurtured. The legacy of these brothers continues to inspire their descendants to live productive and dignity-affirmed lives. In "Grandpa Benjamin," Uriah J. Fields has created a legendary figure, a man equipped to stand beside William Faulkner's Dilsey in "The Sound and the Fury." Grandpa Benjamin, like Dilsey has 'endured,' has seen almost everything and foretold the rest. For eighty-eight years this saintly patriarch lived a life that is enviable even in contemporary perspective. This book is part autobiographical and many parts hard-won and commonsensibly wisdom.

This book can make an extraordinary difference in the way we perceive God, others, ourselves, and the world. Here is a guide for those who desire to have a meaningful relationship with God and experience His love. The unique role of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ in God-man reconciliation and the ministry of the Holy Spirit to individuals are discussed simply and with clarity. Also presented is a day-by-day autobiographical account of the author's experience of living in the presence of God and the attendant near-perpetual joy that he derives from it. The author declares that, "Anyone can experience the presence of God, not just intermittently or occasionally, but continuously, no less than he experiences breathing.

An Amazing Book for now and tomorrow when "terrorism" is a threat to our personal security !!!

Title of Book:
"The Mutuality Warrior - The Person Best Prepared to Survive and Experience Meaning in Survival"

"How are we to live our lives reasonably safe from destructiveness without withdrawing or hiding to avoid things we fear and apparent danger?"
In a time of "equal opportunity terrorism" people are asking, even pleading, for an answer to this question that can no longer be considered simply an academic question. It is a matter of life and death or maybe life or death question.

Dr. Fields answers that question in his book, "The Mutuality Warrior." For a limited time you can purchase this book for $7.50 per copy. (See number 4 in the above book listing for additional information on how to order your copy.)
