Box of chocolates actually good for you. Is a remarkable assortment of verse, commentary, and thoughts laid onto paper by Keturah Wasler, Pittsburgh resident, in her book of poetry titled Box of Chocolates: piece of my heart. There is a myriad of topics in life to find humor, sensitivity, and seriousness about. The verbiage used to illuminate life as Keturah puts it, ‘..from my vantage point,’ is exquisite and relevant. There are times you will feel kissed by the simplicity of methods for levity and coping.

Ms. Wasler frankly speaks to us about her time being homeless in the current mortgage crisis America faces; her trials as a single mother and a lover of the sciences, religion, family, friends, and of men.

Provoking inspiration from her expansive vantage points regarding methods with which we all view and live life. I find it safe to say that this as with her works in progress Into You a guided mediation CD and other books.   Keturah affords the reader insight into themselves and the world around them and has masterfully conjured images to delight every facet of your senses.    She challenges concepts expressively in her renditions on relationships, parenting, maths, time, working and loving.

With my mind I can trap myself inside polarity and comparison
With my heart I can chain myself to a false or toxic love
It’s not my daddy’s fault though he didn’t love me
It’s not my Mommy’s fault though she only shunned me
I have had success at knowing many things
I have been successfully abusing the knowledge
Using the concepts as a crutch to wheel me around the empty pathways of my mental dungeon.
I accept that I have the tendency to live in a way that proves I hate my self
What ever my SELF is….I beat on my present knowledge with my pasts ignorance
With that hammer do I nail myself to the cross
