She was a young black woman from Chicago, who was strong enough to overcome some mistakes, start over, and dare to dream. He was an established reporter from Texas, hungry to report news that changed lives. From the start, the chemistry between them is powerful and strong enough to unite them in a common purpose. Who knew their brainchild would play a part in the annihilation of a fifty year old child sex trafficking ring and both of them would have to revisit their hidden past to do it!

"AND... THE MIRROR CRACKED is a blend of distinct and colorful characters who yield a believable drama!

Main characters, Deborah Burrows and Curt Cavanaugh differ in age,  color, and background, yet, come together to love, work, and coexist in a realm of higher purpose. The obstacles each of them has had to overcome gives them strength and provides a pool of resources to take down a child, sex trade ring!

AND...THE MIRROR CRACKED by M. Handy

Excerpt
With an undeviating eyeball to eyeball disposition, Gary answered, “That’s right. So I don’t mind if the evening that we planned is interrupted by you and Jr., here because I respect my lady.”

With one finger he motioned Melody to his side and then kissed her full on the lips.Between the lingering kiss, Reverend Rodgers’ venomous stare, and Lee-‐Roy clearing his throat, ‘awkward’ could not even begin to describe the way Melody was feeling. No one had ever stood up to Reverend Rodgers and no one had ever kissed her like that!
