In my times of pondering life, significance, and purpose - I sometimes picture all of us on this earth much like an ant colony. No really.

Stick with me here okay? Come on now, open up that ‘learner’ (one of our principles here by the way) mind of yours and try to get this picture in your head. You are looking down on an ant colony from up above; got the picture? Can you visualize it?
All the ants are just scurrying around doing what they do. Do they have purpose other than their task of survival, eat, climb that wall, sneak in your house, building stuff, etc…? Note for you Ant Experts: If you know a whole bunch about ants, maybe you believe they do have purpose and significance. I am confessing right here, that I do not know much about ants. For our ‘purpose’ here however it doesn’t matter, the ant thing is just an analogy for creating this image and making a point! If you are an expert on ants, just let it go. If you have to discuss it, call someone. Go ahead do so right now. Close this book up, get it off your chest, and we’ll see you back in a few minutes.
I will assume you are back and ready to visualize with me. So, you are looking down and seeing gillions of ants going everywhere. I think maybe that’s how we appear from above. It is how I feel at times, like I am just scurrying aimlessly around doing LIFE; whatever that is for each of us. I remember being in this great spot high above the landscape in Ft. Collins, Colorado a while back. All I could see was gillions of homes, buildings, cars, and people (ants).
There has to be more to what we are doing here than scurrying about... It may be good enough for ants, but not us. There must be more for me, and since you are still reading here, I will assume for you as well. We must have some important purpose we were put here for; at least I believe so.
If you are one who doesn’t think about or aren’t interested yet in the question of your significance and purpose - you probably don’t need to read any further. However, I am betting since you read even this far, you are ready and at least questioning stuff about your life.
That’s where I want your head as you read this book – read, read it over again, find quiet moments, jot down some thoughts, question it, question yourself, discuss with others, take some action(s)…read on…etc.
I will assume that we are in agreement there must be some purpose in how we proceed on our journey of existence on this earth. So again, this book is about how we go about our lives day in and day out - whatever purpose or path you have chosen. There may be a faith component to this for you or not; either way, how we should be living is the point here. It is about how you live, function with others, and doing it all with significance. Maybe even magnificently!
