Growing up in the inner city Englewood community in Chicago, known for its gangs, drugs and violence, I was labeled by society before I even had a chance to place a label on myself. Having survived domestic violence, sexual abuse and homelessness, I now thrive on the everyday joy of having a free mind after change. Before change took place in my life, I could not see pass any abuse I was experiencing because I was deep in it and because I was mentally enslaved with fear. While part of me knew I deserved better within that moment of my life, I could not gather enough courage to take a stand for me.
I let my situations and the people abusing me control me to the point that I didn’t know who I was anymore. What I didn’t realize at that time was that I was afraid to Embrace Change. I want to encourage any women who are currently in or have recovered from domestic violence, sexual abuse, or homelessness that “You CAN make it”! You are stronger than you know, more precious than you feel, more beautiful than you are being told, smarter than you are being told; and the value of your life, along with your mental, spiritual, and physical freedom is worth more than you will EVER know!
Embrace Change and fight for your freedom while many others and I join the fight with you! I am excited about what God has done for me to get me to this place and how He has allowed me to produce great content that will help others live a more purposeful life.
My prayer is that you will begin to see your value and worth, understand your purpose; and that the fruits of your labor will grow abundantly because you are more powerful than you know queen!
