book analyses the evidence uesd by scientist Francis Collins to support his Christian faith and concudes that scoence and religion cannot both be true and are incompatible worldviews.
The author refutes the arguments used by Francis Collins in his book "The Language of God" namely, that the Moral Law, the Big Bang and the unique value of the phyiscal constants require a divine explanation by providing natural explanations. The problem of a perfectly good and all powerful god and the existence of suffering and injustice in his creation is not satisfactorily addressed by Collins or other theists. The book reviews the history of the bible and points out that it fails to meet the criteria for reliable history and is in fact a legend developed around a real human being, Jesus, There is no good evidence for his virgin birth or his resurrection. The theory that there is a supernatural reality is discussed and the lack of any evidence supporting it in spite of many attempts is documented.
