The dancing porch is a romantic setting for the protagonist.It is a romance story,but also features the young man whose teachings of morality are adhered to throughout temptations. Admittedly, an unusual character, but one many mothers and some fathers will apprecite. The story is fueled by jealousy and a psychotic hitman which contributes to an ending filled with surprising drama.

The Dancing Porch, located in Fort Myers, Florida, is the home of the protagonist, Hank Anders and Kate Schultz. Jacksonville becomes his choice of colleges as she becomes a student at U. of Florida in Gainesville. Her interest in education and future vocation split them and Hank finds a girl, Savannah, who seems to be a double in appearance of Kate. His employment at a large drive in restaurant chain becomes successfui but he if forever tormented by Charley Cohen who wants his position. The holding company for the restaurant chain is disclosed as a syndicate operation in illegal activities for which Charley is an enforcer. Savannah becomes the wife of Hank, Kate decides too late that she loves Hank and wants him back. Charley is determined to wreck the life of Hank, both personal and business. The ending responds to questions built through the story creating a suspenseful aura. .
