A little girl finds a cub and adopts him. when there are those after the cub, what ia she to do?

The forest was dense. A child running through it, fear clearly etched onto her face, and a small fox cub running at her side. The little girl had shoulder length black hair with natural silver streaks as highlights. She was wearing a blue camisole dress with tears in it from tree limbs snagging on her dress. The little girl wore her hair in pigtails. The cub was a silver fox cub. Its fur was short and shiny. The cub had an adorable tail that would curl around its entire body while it slept. On her forehead was the yin-yang symbol.
As they reached the flowered clearing, a twig snapped. The little girl turned around and looked towards the opening where she and the cub ran through a few minutes before, but saw nothing. She heard another twig snapped and turned around to see red beady eyes staring right back at her as if she was its lunch. The child took a step backwards as the creature took one foreword. This “thing” had sleek black hair and was at least 10 feet taller than her, with canines sharper than a full sharpened sword.
With a fierce growl, it leapt at her with its claws ready to tear her limb from limb. She tried to run, but stopped suddenly with the cub shaking in fear next to her leg. Letting the light reveal themselves, Creatures like the one behind her appeared, their fur in three beautiful colors; White, Silver, black and some in between.
The claw of the creature hits the child, cutting her skin and throwing her onto the hard soil, while the other creatures circled the cub. The girl tried to get up, but the creature who hurt her in the first place put its paw on her stomach disabling her to move. It watched as one of the females in its pack seized up the cub in her mouth, held by the fur and struggling to get out of the female’s grip, and walked away.
The little girl whimpered as if she was a puppy, causing the creature to look at her curiously; its ears perking slightly. Its red eyes held onto her aqua colored ones, until she closed them. Growling, he nipped her neck slightly showing his displeasure in her actions. He put his nose in the crook of her neck seeking her scent and noticing the change of it as he’s smelling it. He walked off hearing her screams of pain and terror.
