After Ellen and her kids pulled away from the house in Mountain View, with the addition of the Truman boys, Zach and Mark. Ellen had to start focusing on a place to call home. The Blazer was running as smooth as silk, which made it a more peaceful to know no more being on the side of the road.
As Ellen continuned to drive down the winding road it was not long until they came up on a small town called Sandstone." It had been a much shorter journey then her first trip which was one trip she hated to think about, which was Mountain View. Ellem peeked through her rearview mirror at all the children. Ben and Zach were talking non-stop but Mark seemed very sad and he had not spoken since they left Mountain View. Ellen knew it was hard on him, but it was a load off her shoulders with that creepy house." Ellen was concerned about Mark, she could see on his face he had some kind of hidden fear. Mark was never a boy who talked much, but he seemed like he was still frightened and of course with the ordeal back at Mountain View was enough to devastate a grown-up, let along a child.
Ellen seemed to be at a loss as to how to she would handle such a delicate situation. She was concerned enough to pull into a parking lot of a nearby resturant so they all could stretch their legs and grab something to eat." Ellen watched the kids wuickly un-load and she noticed Mark was slow about getting out. She walked over to where he was standing he was standing as she placed her arms around his neck." He quickly pulled himself away form her and hurried ahead of her to her to get inside the resturant.
But before he entered the door Mark stopped in his tracks and looked at Ellen. I miss them, but they were different and I knew why there were different. Ted was not a bad man he had dreams of living forever like his dad." Ted just wanted to do the right thing until he became out of control with working on his project called Blood Darters." He knew they could live forever and he was finding a way to prove that humans could too.
Ellen just stood there as she listened to Mark.
