Camera to nature

This little wildlife photography book is dedicated to the many ways used by wild animals to remain unseen to their enemies. More than 50 color photographs show examples and situations which explain and illustrate the how and why.

The author has chosen specially those pictures of his portfolio which show all type of creatures half hidden in their natural surroundings, this way the animal and his home are shown together.

On the other hand we find an unwritten message

appealing for rise to the protection of those habitats and their inhabitants to which we should count ourselves.

Excerpt

As by visiting Khao Yai National Park in Thailand and Tsavo West & East National Parks in Kenya the experience the visitor may enjoy will be completely different.
If we pretend to go for a Photo safari the challenges differ and also the results.
Khao Yai is mainly covered with an amazing tropical rainforest.
With huge trees of more then 40 m high and a explosion of all type of plants and other more little trees fighting mainly for light and food resources and thus trying to grow as fast and straight up as possible. Khao Yai is full of life-but you will hardly see it. You need the help of experienced guides who know where the Gibbon family roams these days and which tree the Hornbill couple is visiting as they prepare their new nest. Khao Yai is even the home of Tigers, but even senior guides may have spotted them only one or two times during their professional life. Days may pass without any elephant appearing on the roads during the evening rides for tourists. However as you trek during hours the various trails the beauty and mystery of a rainforest and the interbeeing of life is so obvious that a visit is an unforgettable experience.
Tsavo National Park is a different habitat.
Open plains with medium sized hills and the Kilimanjaro in the background. Here you can definitely not walk around, it is strictly forbidden to go out of the vehicle as the high grass and dense vegetation hide anything: lions, leopards and buffalos are "under cover"!
