Kamikaze and Killa are cousins, who are two typical adolescents from the inner city streets of Durham, North Carolina. They hustle drugs and commit minor crimes, in order to keep pocket money to buy weed, clothes, and jewelry.
Kamikaze becomes infatuated with Paula an older girl from his projects, but after she rejects him, he realizes that the world he is from is motivated by money and power. With a newfound determination, Kamikaze and Killa formulate plans to take control of their projects from a New York dealer.
Paula, Tiffany, and Nee Cee, are three close friends from Liberty Street Projects, whom are all very beautiful street savvy older girls. The three friends willingly enter into a deadly life of hustling, deceit, and violence, when they join the cousins after they notice Kamikaze and Killa gaining power in their neighborhood.
The two cousins form a powerful drug organization called the 187 CRU, and the three girls take on the ranks of lieutenants. Because of its tight organization the 187 CRU grows in power fast all on the premise of the crew's motto, which is to murder its way to power. They expand throughout the city with no problems, until Kamikaze makes a costly mistake.
The 187 CRU ends up going to war with Stick-Up Sam and Trigga, the two brothers who are their primary enemies, and the powerful organization takes major losses. Many of the 187 CRU's members are murdered during the drug war with their rivals, but Kamikaze seeks retribution and vows to eliminate his enemies.
Several days had passed since Killa visited Kamikaze, telling him about the awful news of Samantha’s rape. Killa was over Nee Cee’s mother’s apartment visiting one day, when his phone began to ring. He picked it up and spoke briefly, with the caller who was giving him some information. He hung up the phone and told Nee Cee’s mother, that he’d speak with her later. He left her mother’s apartment, then walked over to building five where the twins sold the heroin.
As he approached the building, he saw Officer Warren arguing with Buckshot. “What’s the problem, Officer Warren?” Killa asked, approaching the two. “This little mutha-fucka think he tough, that’s the problem!” Officer Warren barked, as he pointed in Buckshot’s face. Buckshot smacked his hand away barking, “Fuck you, punk! You just mad, cause I won’t give you no diesel to bang in your arms, pussy!”
“Hassam are you going to help me out, or do I have to run both of you little bastards downtown.” “Naw, nawl, I got you Officer Warren. It’s just, you can’t keep muscling, my peoples like that. I’ll look out for you, but on the low though. If people see you keep handling us like some suckers, then everybody will be trying to extort us.” “Fuck that you little punk, just give me a few bags and I’m leaving!”
“Ahite I got you, but he doesn’t have any here. Meet me across the street in Liberty Square, around back in apartment number twenty-three. Give me ten minutes, and I’ll come bring you some. Officer Warren glared at Killa, and then walked off heading for Liberty Square. Killa rubbed Buckshot on the head trying to calm him down, and then he walked over to the Blue Apartments, after he saw the officer disappear around the back of Liberty Square.

“A yo Boogie, you got that package for me?” he asked, entering the spot. Boogie walked into the kitchen, and opened a draw. He pulled out a small glassine bag, and handed it to Killa. “I’m getting ready, to fix this pervert, real good. Let’s see if he can pass, this battery test,” Killa said, dapping Boogie up before he left. He exited his spot and walked over to apartment twenty-three in Liberty Square, and went in.
It was an abandoned apartment where fiends would go to smoke crack, shoot up, and prostitute. He walked into the apartment and was immediately bombarded, by the stench of urine, spoiled food, and other smells which he had no idea of what they could have been.
There were two beat up old sofas in the living room, and the floor was covered with bags of food. There were also crushed soda cans littered everywhere with holes punched in them, and burn marks around the holes from where addicts had apparently been smoking crack. There were also, empty condom wrappers everywhere.
Officer Warren was sitting at an old kitchen table, which had only one chair remaining. Killa walked over to him, and threw the bag on the table in front of him. “That’s more like it, little nigga!” the officer spewed at Killa as he grabbed the bag, and then got up attempting to leave. “Listen Officer Warren, what can I offer you so that you stop harassing my peoples?”
“We’ll talk about that later. Right now, I have things to do,” he said, holding up the bag of heroin. “Fuck, shoot that shit here. I just want to know how much bread it will take, to get you to leave my hood alone, and start shaking niggas down somewhere else.” Sensing that Killa was potentially ready to offer him a large amount of money, the officer sat back down and begin preparing his dope.
After he finished cooking it in a spoon and filling a needle up, to level four on a twelve milliliter syringe, he looked at Killa and told him, “Twenty g’s, and I leave y’all alone.” Killa needed to prolong the conversation, so he suggested, “What if I give you five g’s, and some of that. That boy, is real good. Try it first, then let me know.”
Officer Warren tied off his left arm, and then squeezed his fist shut several times until he found a vein. He inserted the needle into his vein, and injected the heroin until there was a little less than two milliliters left. He released the tie from his arm, and his eyes started to become less alert, as the dope began kicking in. He looked up at Killa planning to ask for twenty thousand again when suddenly, his eyes bulged to a massive size.
He jolted back in his seat grabbing at his heart, with the needle still stuck in his arm. He fell out of his seat, and began to convulse uncontrollably. He gagged and coughed a few times. Killa stepped back as he watched the officer overdosing, from the high amounts of strychnine he had Boogie mix with the heroin.
Officer Warren gagged once more and foam oozed out of his mouth, after his heart had burst killing him instantly. Killa was temporarily frozen unable to move, as this was the first time he had actually witnessed first hand someone overdosing. After a few moments he snapped out of his daze, and then exited the apartment going back over to his spot.
