This is a biography about an abusive
childhood, which led me to want to become a foster parent, so that I would be able to help other abused children.

The story begins about an abusive childhood, which led me to the choice I made in my future to become a foster parent, to be able to  help other children overcome their abuse. I also wrote the book to try and  help the Foster parents. you see being a county foster parent for 1 year, and a therapeutic foster parent for 18 years, I have a great respect and appreciation for foster parents, & adoptive parents, and the job they do everday for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Nobody knows how much a foster parent does or gives up to help these children.  Our States take very good care of their  of foster children.  But I don't believe foster parents are appreciated enough, or told Thank You enough.  That is why with the sale of my book I am dedicating 10% of my share of the sale of the book to hopefully be able to start a foundation, for a foster parent respite program.  To say Thank you for the scarifice that you make for our many, many, needy children, and the job you do to help them.  Without you very special people what would happen to our children?  Thank You again, I appreciate You, and I know many, many other people do to. So wish me luck on the sale of the books, and maybe we could start to make a difference.

I don't like to read books but i am so glad that i read this book it was a very good book to read and it kept you wanting to read more all the way through the end. I would make a great movie and i would definately read more books that you write if you write more.I will recommend this book to everyone that i talk to. it was very upsetting to read about all the things that you had to go through as a child. The ending of the book was great about how you changed your life to help other children.I am sorry that you had to go through your demonds to write this book but hopefully a lot of good will come from it. I know that it has inspired me.

I think there comes a time in everyone's life where we realize we have to face our demons to move forward and live freely. This book captures the the purpose of why it is so important in connecting who we are as a person in relation to how we are brought up and treated as a child. This book is one of the BEST books I have read .... it brings out so many important issues that are often ignored. From child abuse to the true and genuine sacrafices that can be made when setting our selfish needs aside .. becoming a foster parent an giving and giving until the Lord says we have given enough. This bbok is the TRUTH about foster care... there is no sugar coating or making things appear ambiguous ... this book states the true emotional facts about intervening and planting seeds in the hearts of so many children and hoping and praying all that you do one day will make a positive impact on the lost, the forgotten, the abused, the ignored, the unwanted children that are thrown into a dysfunctional system. This book also acknowledges and thanks those who work so diligently in the system and truly care about the kids as well as expressing how much needs to be improved within the foster care system and the school system. It's people who write books like this that should be approached and talked to about how to make things better withing the systems ... not those who know nothing and have never worked with the most challenging and disconnected children in the world. Thank you for writing a book that opens the door to so many politcial issues and well as sharing all your skeletons ... one person like you touches the lives of milliions in so many different ways. Thank you for EVERYTHING you have done for so many children and for never giving up... I pray that this book is read by some of the most influential people in the world and this book becomes the first step to changing the system and truly doing what is needed to help our kids... they ARE our future !!

This book was a very good book. It was a fast reader and brought tears to my eyes. It would be a really good movie but even as a book it was very good. You are a very strong and inspiring women to go through that and make it out and instead of it impacting you negitivally it made you stronger. I am so happy you decided to help others in your life. Thank you for everything you have done for eveyone from foster care to your children, grandchildren and even friends. I will read every and any other books you write and I hope alot more people see how good this book is and buy it because it is worth the money and it is a wonderful experience to read this book.

Excellent book.
The story is very moving, and inspiring.
Make you realize how wonderful life is for some people(even if we don't see) and so hard for others.
The story start on some one that has a very hard childhood, and as she grow up she helped other, many others.
And that is what life should be about, love and helping others.

I read this book it was one of the best books i have ever read.mom im very proud of you it was a great job and I think this would make a marvelous movie.Im so sorry you had to endure all this abuse as a child and relive it as adult that takes a lot of courage and im very proud of you and what a strong woman and great mother you are. Your book was an inspiration to over coming multiple hurdles and turning a horrible experience into helping other people and showing how much one person can do to help others and guide them in the right direction.you are a true inspiration and im proud to call you my mom

This book reminds me of so many movies i have seen. I think this book would make an incredible movie. It touches all ages of life. so unfortunate that you had to endure so much as a kid but so ironic the woman, mother, foster parent, grandparent that you have became should have so much to teach us. I believe more schools, doctors, social workers, etc. should read a story like this. maybe they would understand the signs so they can be more aware for our children sakes. Thank you for reliving your hell to help others so importantly. It is Awesome....
