Fiction

though my writing tries all genders and ages and circumstances, this might be considered a gay/bi collection of poems, stories and memories

The poetry and stories are wry, dark, sad, tender, dreamy. Because it is avaiable only on Kinndle, it's my most personal because, I suppose,  don't have  a device on which to see it. Before I start telling you the sad parts of this book, I want to tell you there is happiness too--love for my childhood friend Celesta, tribute to Jack running in the rain laughing and vibrant. The happiness keys on my keyboard still work, and they are there among the sad 'cause the sad keys work too.So it is between me and me--a haunting haunted poem of beauty quick as a raindrop in summer sun, the rape of me that has never really stopped. There are some pretty bizarre poems and stories in an sureal way. There is a title story that pretty much explains my view on trusting people. I've always felt that a writer has got to be shameless. Though I'ved edited some things out, this is me as I am now. To see me as I once was, try Candles For November or On Mornings of January Snows, and the other books as well. This is the me I never meant to be. If you want poetry, happiness, I've written some, and there is some in here too. I've looked over my 1500 pages of printed words and remember someone at Literotica telling me "You are always in your stories, and yet it seems you're never there." If you want a book of poetry, I have some, and if you want a book of horror, I have some. And if you want a book of music, I'll dance you around the room. This is my latest book. I hope you will get a copy.

PAUL FINALLY GETS TO PLAY BASKETBALL

Paul had left his Blue Horse notebook behind, that day, after school was out. His seventh grade teacher had found it on his desk that spring afternoon. Mr. Lefferts took the notebook to his desk, sat down, and turned, as if knowing, to exactly the right page that he knew somehow Paul wanted him to look at. Mr. Lefferts was a lifeline to the boy. Mr. Lefferts read this in Paul's jagged crossed out smudged pen terrible handwriting:
"I had this dream. I dreamed it after I read Circus of Dr. Lao. The fortuneteller was telling me this; I was the next customer, after the maiden lady who he told would never be anything but a searcher after fool's gold to the day. She died. He told me:
'You will not be noticed in your life.
'You will not be touched.
'You will never touch another person…
'You will…’
