Learning to Live Together provides parents and educators with the knowledge needed to encourage their children and others to live peacefully with others within their family and in our global village. Part One: Stepping Stones to Peacemaking, reveals the importance of affirmation, respect for differences, cooperation, and the peaceful resolution of conflict to family and community well-being. Part Two: Families in the Global Village, empowers family members of all ages to examine a variety of community and global justice issues that affect families throughout the world. Each chapter includes some theory, followed by family-related activities that allow for both fun and deeper understanding of a specific peacemaking topic. The book also includes a bibliography.
