This is a practical everyday approach to your new life. You will probably attend some formal church classes, which are designed to turn you into a Christian. What I want to do here is teach you the things that they don’t teach in the formal classes. The grass roots approach to Christianity.
I will explain all the everyday problems and solutions you may encounter in your new life. I will tell you how to be a true disciple of Jesus and not the religious system. It is important that you understand who you are, and what equipment you have to complete your task. Yes you do have a task, and you have been already been supplied with the equipment to accomplish it.
Weighing in at only 144 pages this book is the Mighty Mite of Christian Growth. Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." After you finish this book you will have entered through the Small Gate and you will find your feet planted firmly on the Narrow Road.
I wrote this book to address some of the issues you will encounter, teach you some of the basics, and bring you up to speed a quickly as possible. I will not mince words, or coddle you. It is important that you understand exactly what it is that God did for you, and what he expects from you.

Who and What Are You
What happened to you? You were Born Again: First I want you to understand what happened to you.
Born Again or Regeneration is a valid, legal term used by Jesus himself (John 3:2-21). Read this story in John so you may understand the meaning of born again. On the day the Virgin Mary conceived, The Holy Spirit of God overshadowed her and in her was conceived a Holy Thing. The Moment you believed and accepted Jesus as Lord, the Holy Spirit of God overshadowed you and in you was conceived a holy thing. Your human spirit became a new creation. It immediately begins to try to take control, but your flesh won’t let it.
I read this analogy at one time. We are like a ship on the ocean. Before new birth your flesh was the pilot of the ship but he had no charts to tell him where he was going and he couldn’t find the land. Your spirit suddenly has the charts and knows the way and he tries to take control. The flesh pilot tells your spirit to go to his quarters and don’t interfere because he has been pilot for years and knows how to steer the ship.
So starts the struggle between the flesh and spirit, so your spirit must be trained in the ways of the Master to be able to assume control. The sooner you are trained the quicker the struggle will end.
I didn't realize I was "Born Again" until 3 days later when I opened the bible and discovered life. They weren't words anymore they were food. For the next months I didn't do anything but read the bible every waking hour of every day. I don't expect that from anyone, I was granted a gift by the Lord to consume and teach his word. That is why this book was written, and if you want to grow up in Jesus and be strong and powerful you will spend some time here and learn what I have to teach you.
If you want to wisdom read the book of proverbs about every 3 months. If you want wisdom about everything in your Christian life then read the book of 1Corinthians. In the 7th chapter of that book is everything you need to know about interpersonal (man, woman) relationships. If the Apostle Paul says The Lord not I, then it is an old teaching from Jesus ministry, I he says I not the Lord, it is still from the Lord but it is new revelation that was not taught during Jesus earthly ministry.
I want you to read the whole book of the Gospel of John. After you are finished then read the teaching below...
Excerpt From Chapter Two
You May Be Rejected Since you no longer are the person you once were you may find that your old friends have deserted you but that is normal. 1Pet. 4:4 Of course, your former friends will be very surprised when you don’t eagerly join them anymore in the wicked things they do, and they will laugh at you in contempt and scorn. (TLB)
If they abuse you or leave you, let them go. You no longer have anything in common with them. Cor.6:14-20 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “’The two will become one flesh.’ But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body”.
The unsaved members of your family may reject you, but that should be expected. Matt.10: 34-36 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword”. Read the rest of this passage. Jesus goes on to explain that He came to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household. We see division between a believer’s unsaved family and friends and the believer.
The reason is that they are dead and you are not? One time Jesus asked a man to follow Him and the man said that first he had to bury his father. Jesus said, "follow me, let the dead bury their own dead" (Luke 9:59-60). When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins (Col. 2:13). Now we are alive unto God who is our true father, and all the believers in the world are our family. Your natural family and friends still love you in the flesh, but they can’t understand what happened to you. In reality they have rejected Jesus in you, not you personally.
You have the Spirit of God living in you so that you may understand the things that are of God, and they do not. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1Cor. 2:14)...
