My comments about image and making an absolutely fabulous first impression has to do with why most people buy. This is very important if you present and make offers where you sell from the stage, or you guest speak in front of small groups as a way to generate new clients or even if you meet 1:1 across a desk or at networking events as a mode to build your business.
People buy on emotion and intuition and they rationalize it later.
This often means people are buying YOU and that makes YOU the most powerful and dynamic form of advertisement for your business.
I want to remind you that I created the 6 Character Code system by combining two proven systems: The DISC personality profiles or behavorial styles and the Fashion Archetypes.
I have studied personality types and the DISC profiles for almost 20 years when I was first introduced to them in a college psychology course.
The DISC system itself was created over a century ago, but really was a recreation of the four temperaments or humors that hark from ancient Egypt and were medically classified by Hippocrates. This system is thousands of years old.
I have also studied the Fashion Archetypes for the last 4 years. What I noticed in my work with over 1,600 women & men is that there is a strong correlation between the Fashion Types and the DISC personality profiles.
Instead of having to rely on taking the DISC written or online test I could predict their personality profile based on the Fashion Type they fit.
In simple English Ė I knew who they were based on how they looked and carried themselves.
This discovery was so valuable because of how it can be used.
You know Iím all about function and results. I donít care about labels & I donít get heated about people making assumptions. I just use this information to make an absolutely fabulous first impression, send the message I want, attract my ideal client and then know how to communicate with them in a way that honors them!!
Like any classification system we will have some of each Character Code in us. You learn the Codes by themselves to understand them, but it is then the degree to which we have part of one Code and a little of another Code that makes us all unique and infinitely interesting.
