Inert America

Powerlessness in the most powerful nation on planet Earth is the state of affairs in America today.

Powerlessness in the most powerful nation on planet Earth is the state of affairs in America today. America is approaching a grinding halt and everything is slowing down. "All stop," has been the command of the ship's captain. We're sitting at a four-way stop, and even if we haven't come to a full stop the car is slowing down, and the brakes are being applied. "These are uncertain times," said President George W. Bush in a press conference in early 2008. My response is these are not uncertain times-we can be very certain that to continue on the same course is not the right answer. America has to move forward instead of taking a left or a right at this crossroads in its history. There are no easy answers, but there are answers, or at the very least, clear indicators of the right direction for America in the twenty-first century. That direction is straight ahead. America must move forward, but it currently lacks the power to do so. Through both quantitative and qualitative means, I provide readers of this book with simple and straightforward answers to the complexities that have become a twenty-first century America as we explore the Inert America condition.

Left Or Right? No - FORWARD...
FOX News...MSNBC...The New York Times...The Wall Street Journal...Rush Limbaugh...Keith Olbermann...everywhere you turn, someone's got an opinion about which way the country should be heading. The only problem? Depending on whom you ask, the answer typically has a left- or right-lean to it; however, given the sheer volume of problems that we face as a nation every day, a solid, progressive, unified solution is the only way to keep the great American Promise alive...

Such is the central premise of Inert America. In his thought-provoking new offering, author Gary Griffin presents the reader with a comprehensive analysis of the political, cultural, and moral impasse at which the United States currently finds itself, as well as a clear-cut outline of the path that the country should take to resolve the collective gridlock. Skillfully avoiding coming off as biased or overly partisan, Griffin posits a host of cogent arguments regarding the precise steps that need to be taken in order for America to restore the greatness of its golden years. Emphasizing the fact that our best days still lie ahead, Inert America serves as a powerful clarion call for us to learn to transcend our differences - however passionate about them we may be - in order to usher in a new era of prosperity, achievement, and true progress.

For anyone interested in helping the nation move toward a new level of greatness, Inert America is an absolute must-read. Insightful, eye-opening, and highly recommended.
