Drew Ruthin and The Blood of Changes, Volume two, is the surprising follow up to Volume one of The Ruthin Trilogy. Adult romantic suspense/ paranormal romance this book is suitable for eighteen years and up only, and contains sex scenes, supernatural themes, mild language and adult themes.

We meet the remarkable characters from the first book again.

Devon Ruthin and Bliss are still in love.

{Bliss stood up and put her arms around Devon.

“Devon my love you are so kind and caring. We will wait for Ffion to call again tonight before we send out a search party shall we?” She kissed him and they got lost in the kiss, holding each other close.}

The story begins where volume one left Drew Ruthin the vampire and unfolds into an urban romantic suspense.

In this episode of the Ruthin story, we meet new characters and one in particular who is to have an impact on the lives of everyone.

Balthazar Crane is an ancient and lives alone in the same town as Drew, he often watches the vampire Greta and we begin to wonder if he has some secret feelings for her.

This second part of the trilogy gets steamy when various couples pair off, and some of the trysts have to be in secret.

Marguerite and Devon Ruthin receive a surprise, which changes their view of the magical community of beings they live amongst and the feeling grows that they are more dangerous than was revealed in volume one.

The book is heavily romantic, with a number of sensual love scenes. There is intrigue, and fun with the vampire community as usual and their opinions of their former leader Drew Ruthin.

{Vincent was packing up and still thinking about how much he disliked Drew.

“If it had been Drew asked for this rush job Jake, I’d have said kiss my paint roller but you’re welcome. I’ll do the gloss on the woodwork tomorrow night. You could be open this weekend if Sophie and Jimbo get it together. Has Annabelle said she will come back to work here?”

They all knew what had happened with Annabelle and as Jake answered that she had decided to come and work for Drew again he also expressed his surprise to them by the look on his face.}

Danger is on the horizon for someone but it will be a surprise to readers just who is in danger this time.

{He pulled up alongside her and let his window down. He gave her a look that was an invitation to something wonderful. His voice was soft and kind. He exuded charm. “Do you want a lift somewhere? I think you may have a long wait there”.

The girl was about twenty and not prone to getting in cars with strangers male or female; she shook her head. “No thanks I’m fine”, and she looked away from Drew wishing he was not a stranger. Wishing she had met him down the basketball club or something, he was so drop dead gorgeous.

Drew didn’t leave.

“I’m harmless”, he lied and smiled a smile so sweet it was like rain to a flower.

The girl had pepper spray in her bag. Her mom had some too. }

As the two Ruthins, Devon and Marguerite try to continue their lives in an ordinary way something happens once more to make them extraordinary.
