Altered Edges: My Life In Poetry,Prose And Short Stories takes the reader on a journey through my deepest thoughts and feelings. While writing this book I was able to explore my past and try to make sense out of a childhood marked with ongoing triumphs and tragedies. I often wondered during my childhood whether the difficulties I encountered would seal my future fate. Altered Edges starts with my childhood and describes in poetry the feelings of a child who had been abandoned by her mother at the age of thirteen and the scandal that followed. Writing Altered Edges put me on the path to healing and to finally finding my place in this world.
Altered Edges also explores my inspiration Michael Jackson with personal letters and award winning poetry written to the KOP himself. Michael has indeed been a huge influence in my life as he too has journeyed through a difficult childhood and onto becoming one of the world’s greatest entertainers. His strength and ability to focus on his mission in the face of difficulty shows us that he is a person of strong character. His music shows us the depth of his love and sensitivity towards people, the environment, and those who suffer unjustly. It is in this spirit that I dedicate in part Altered Edges to Michael Jackson.

Way down in Africa in a place called Sudan, there are many people starving every child, woman and man.
Can they feed their hungry children?
Can they feed their hungry selves?
How can they do so when no food sits on their shelves?
In another part of Africa a place called Mozambique, there's a people who live there and their very unique.
Can they quench their children's thirst
because their childrens needs come first?
How can they do so when no water clouds burst?
In another country not far away theres a people ther who always say; "God willing."
Martinique has changed from it's old hey-day; now there's drugs, materialsim and moral decay.
Can they teach their children from these things to stay away? Not unless there's someone to so them the way.
In each country and in every land. There are people crying for a saving hand.
