The novel starts off in Brazil where Didi lives with Mum and Dad and his older sister Gabi. The family travels to the other side of the planet so as Mum can take a summer course for Uni teachers in Noumèa, the capital of New Caledonia. Didi looks forward to seeing the endemic blue bird Cagu. However, as he is about to fulfill his dream a terrible crime happens. Didi meets famous local Comissaire Apollon Savant and together they investigate the mysterious events behind the missing bird's case. They even end up in New Zealand...

So far there is only the Portuguese version of the book. My personal dream, as the author, is to see this adventure translated at least into English and French!
