“My Dog the Lawyer” written by Jeremy Hodge, DMD is the first in a series of children's books about a Dachshund named Milo and his human named Hailey.  Milo is a highly industrious canine who, when away from the eyes of adults, dons a suit and tie and practices law in his community.

The story is both clever and whimsical, and the characters are strong and defined.  Readers will enjoy discovering Milo’s exploits as they read along with Hailey and will come to adore the character of Milo as he practices law and takes justice into his own hands.

Along the way, readers will become immersed into the world of doggy law, where Saint Bernards reign down judgment, weasels represent shifty clients and corrupt corporations, and rabbits teach law at Yardvard, the best doggy law school in the country.

“My Dog the Lawyer” is a day spent through the eyes of six year old Hailey who discovers, late at night, that her dog, Milo, has been up to serious construction in his dog house.  Her parents think she has a wild imagination, which inspires Hailey to discover the truth about the strange late night noises.

To her amazement, she discovers that Milo has manufactured a law office within his dog house because he has grown tired of sneaking off to doggy court to prepare for his cases.  As Hailey is invited into his world, she discovers that her beloved dog Milo has been very busy indeed.
