Amelia Frump has a problem: an overactive imagination that sometimes gets her into trouble.

One night, as the winds howl through the treetops, Amelia sees a spooky, bony finger tapping on the glass outside her bedroom window. Can her wild imagination save her in time, or will she be the final ingredient in a Grubby Sock Casserole?

Excerpt

She lay as stiff as piece of forgotten chewing gum, not daring to move a muscle.

Amelia feared that whatever was in her room would grab her and take her to some strange world. She wouldn’t see her parents again. Perhaps she’d be a servant to a slimy, mucousy king.

Maybe he’d make her pick lint from between his toes, and force her to eat horrible things such as spinach ice cream.

Amelia Frump & Her Peanut Butter Loving Overactive Imagination captures with deliciously gross imagery how the everyday world of a young girl can be transformed by imagination into something sinister and scary. Besides trying to figure out what costumes her classmates at school might wear on Halloween, Amelia is trying to determine the source of those creepy noises at home. Is it an old house telling its secrets as Amelia has been told, or is it something else? The answer may lie in Amelia's bedroom closet.

The writer did such a superb job in portraying this young girl's imagination. I highly recommend this as a great gift or just a fun book for your children. It was so enjoyable, I read it twice when I received it!
