The story of a group of animals who form their own town - their perils, their adventures.

Go with your child in the LittleTown series on the journey of some small animals to set up their  new town far away from humans, where they now can live in peace and safety with each other. Watch as the LittleTowners fight fires, play together, feel terror together, and learn together.

You and your kid will sit at the feet of Grace the Librarian, the gentle little deer mouse, as her wise words shape the little ones.

Feel her fear as little blind Vola, the flying squirrel, has to learn to fly all over again.

Watch an angry Teacher gnaw down tree after tree with his huge beaver teeth to remove mistakes made by the grasshopper mice twins, He and Me.

See the brave starnosed mole swept along by the oil in a pipeline, and rule over the court as The Judge. Sit in court as The Judge tries to find out what The Chicago Kid did on Tum-Tum-Hill.

Discover how the smart water shrew Pal Silver saves Mrs. Muskrat, who is trapped under water in a cage, from drowning.

Read about Bones, the Mole that started counting thousands of dinosaur bones buried in a pit in Bonesburg.

Follow Kanga the Kangaroo Rat as he fights a rattlesnake that crept into his burrow.

Sit under a tree as Squirt-Squirt, the sensitive skunk, becomes a poet.

Discover how the smart, bubbly water shrew Pal Silver saves Ms Muskrat, who is trapped under water in a cage.

Laugh with them as they help Mr Packrat bargain for a telephone.

And you will learn why the Chicago Kid lost his whiskers in the hospital on Get-Well-Hill.

Laugh when The Chicago Kid faces a trial presided over by The Judge.

Chuckle at the problem posed by the Never-Movers, and sympathize with Baby Muskrat as she learns about the new world.

Plot with the two little voles, Timid Timmy and Timid Tania, to trap a weasel.

Visit Chien's Thumbs, the hidden studio of the little prairie dog where his portraits are kept secret for as long as his models want them to be.

Listen to The Kid explain the adventures his friend had at the President's White House, and find out why the first pocket gopher born in LittleTown was named Talpo.

And you will both wince with the little ones as they are injected on Get-Well-Hill to save them from the plague, laugh with them as they learn to play football with an acorn, and much, much more.

Excerpt
"ORDER IN COURT! SILENCE!" bellowed The Judge, the FINGERS ON HIS NOSE waving frantically.

He smashed the little acorn gavel the Carpenter had made for him on the table.

It had taken a long time to find exactly the RIGHT acorn.

The Judge had tested many types until he found just the proper kind.

The dry acorns made a resonant noise when he whacked the table but they split open and pieces went whistling all over.

"Useless for exciting cases," he told Don the Carpenter. "They are fine for a quick case. I can get three bangs per acorn before I have to change acorns. For a lengthy case I need an acorn that can last."

So they settled on a green acorn because it gave a respectable sound but did not disintegrate.

Not too green, though, because then it just went SPLUDGE and not BANG.

"We are here to hear the case of the Animals against the Chicago Kid," said The Judge in his most impressive courtroom voice.

"Ms Jackrabbit is the Accuser and Grace the Librarian is the Defender. Will the Accuser please tell the Court what the charge is?"

"The CHARGE against the Kid is that he did WILFULLY and CUNNINGLY and with MALICIOUS AFORETHOUGHT and IN-BETWEEN-THOUGHT and AFTERTHOUGHT, pilfer and appropriate and expropriate and confiscate certain properties not belonging to him but to the Animals."

The LittleTowners hugged themselves with delight.

Nobody knew what Ms Jackrabbit meant, but it SOUNDED VERY SERIOUS INDEED!

The Kid had done something rotten this time, they knew.
