This is a collections of poems that flow in a beginning, middle, end sort of way that will take you out of your body on a love journey.
When the moon is full it makes night rainbows over waterfalls and at edges of rainstorms. It gives a kind of forest in the imagination if you could see them. They are called moonbows, but they are also ways to look at the earth, the secret colors in the night that could lead you into wide seeing, sometimes straight into a soul, or beloved friend. It is a way to travel with the moon across lakes, rivers, army encampments, hungry children moaning. Moonbows look white at first, but as your eyes get used to night vision, the colors appear --then it is easy to start thinking about origins of life, origins of thought: thoughts about knowing impossible things. Your eyes take on inner qualities of time travel, memories of the future shining down in full moonlight. You start to see with the eyes of art, divine eyes of origin, and what you were doing before the beginning of light. The Moonbow Poems are night songs, nocturnes, like pieces of thought music, songs out of the mist; water songs of rainbows. They take you to places you inhabit in your longings, love places, and huge trees looming in ground fog.You take up night-walking among dreams of earth and stars. As you read, your travel by viewpoint shift to your own spiritual landscapes through black rainbows over black mountains and red rivers, and blue smoke of stars burning.
Seasons follow you around with
fat moons and your flat body invites
fingers of falling snow--but this
kind of time in rooms not yet built, hints
that you are not here--an uprooted
listening stretches damp night over
Dan Smith -- Cleaveland Poet
"...maybe you heard us calling from the Heights we know you are tapped into a series of infinite eternities where bodies just get in the way of spirit and trees spout poetry to the earth and sky and maybe you heard us in a dream and fell into our world forever last night."
Maireid Sullivan -- Celtic Singer, Composer and Filmmaker
"...when I take time to read your poems, my sense of space and time alters, and I feel free to float into the richly populated landscapes of your vision. My senses are refreshed and wondrous feelings rise from deep within. I'm not only in awe of your capacity to inspire visceral sensibility, but my intellect swoons before your intellectual wit. And I am speechless! I can only thank you!"
"Russell Salamon... your poetic images float above the earth without touching; you are a poet from the marrow out."

Reader Reviews for "Moonbow Poems by Russell Salamon"
|Reviewed by Wavelength Publishing
|We have never really been into poetry and certainly never imagined representing a poet... When we were introduced to Russell's work, that all changed in a nano-second. Talk about REVOLUTIONARY WORK. It's hard to explain how this poetry takes you on a journey away from the trails of everyday life.... much more so than any thriller, love story or fiction.... because it transcends the restrictions of this universe. The only way to understand is to read it for yourself. You'll become a poetry lover yet!|
