A dragon was the first to come, he crawled beneath my bed,
I asked him if he'd kindly try to find a cave instead.
He blew a giant smoke ring then he gave a toothy smile,
I thought that it would be all right to let him stay a while.

Then pirates came at breakfast time and ate up all the toast,
The Captain with the eye patch used his hook to get the most.
They hadn't bathed in ages and I know because they stank,
When I suggested showering they made me walk the plank.
