Taylor Harrison has given up on everything but her work. After becoming the youngest CEO of Mugful’s Beverage Company, she believes life is complete. That is until her grandmother asks her to oversee renovations at the family home, in addition to searching for a missing heirloom.
First contact with what she believes is an insignificant ring, lost for fifty years, sends her life spinning. Taylor experiences strange dreams. Feelings surface; she doesn't understand; mere thoughts that should remain unspoken, are voiced.
Taylor’s emotional journey begins, testing a heart as cold as the ring itself-forcing her to question everything she believes.
Is this a fairy-tale or her soul, reaching out for a different world, a life she can only find through faith and a divine trust in God?
Grabs your interest right from the start,
ring which disappeared after a senseless murder fifty years ago holds all the hopes and prayers of Taylor Harrison's family.
Taylor is far too busy as the youngest CEO of Mugful's to take time off to oversee the remodeling of the Harrison family estate, but does so at the request of her Granny Kay. There's one more thing, Kay has asked her to find the ring.
The contractor, Brent, hired to do the job surprises Taylor on her first morning at the estate. She thinks he's cute, but her career is the most important thing in life next to her grandmother. When the walls start coming down for the remodel, Taylor searches for the ring until in the final room, beneath the floor boards, she find it. She's found something else, too. She's interested in Brent, but not enough to give up her career.
Once she begins to wear the ring, she has a series of strange dreams. She's torn between the definite fork in her road to success. Are the dreams real or is it God trying to tell her something?
Mary L. Ball writes an intriguing suspenseful story. The book is a delightful read full of suspense, romance and the destiny for those who follow God's will.
Stone of Destiny pulls you in from the start
Taylor is a career driven woman who meets her heart's path in the form of a handsome rugged contractor.
With a little shove from her grandmother, the one person who can convince her to take even a temporary break from work, she embarks on a journey through her family home finding parts of herself as she searches for a sapphire ring. The lost ring had been in the family for generations and has some remarkable affects on Taylor.
With the help of her Grandmother, the ring and her re-found faith, she is able to discover where she wants to go in life and how Brent fits into the plan.
I really loved this story. The characters were real and their interaction very well done, especially that of Taylor and her Grandmother. I also loved the ending. Perfect resolution.
