The Evil Thought
Evil slips through a bloody vine
That twists around a seedy mind
Controlling the truth, bending the line
Talk of spells that cannot bind
There is no use, don’t try to fight
There is only wrong, there is no right
It’s less a bark, more of a bite
And you will feel it throughout the night
Conjuring up thoughts that are so bad
Thoughts of cutting up your cat
Or if you can, you’d do worse than that
Maybe killing Mom and Dad
And before you can start to realize
That you’ve been fed a bunch of lies
You’ll start to think like big bad mice
And laugh when your favorite uncle dies
When you hide scorpions under her bed
And rejoice when you know she’s afraid
Of your thoughts and what you have said
Beware when you go to bed.
