True horror does not have fangs or fur, and it is not supernatural. Genuine evil is human and ordinary and walks walks among us unseen - just as Dylan McCormick does.

Dark Corners
This is a chilling, captivating novel of the evil that lurks in the hearts of men. Human monsters are far more frightening than any found in a horror story about vampires or werewolves. Real monsters are boring, normal, unspectacular creatures born without fangs or fur. True horror stories are found in the pages of police reports and have nothing at all to do with the demonic or supernatural.
If you were broken, unnoticed and unloved, how would you go about fixing yourself? What would the consequences be?
Anonymity amplifies lonliness and the Internet makes the anonymous dangerous. If you were friendless and in need of help, what kind of people would find you?

An awful spider-web of cracks in the glass fractured outwards from the hole made by the impact, where Mr. Evans had re-entered his car in the hardest possible way.
Her eyes had registered the sight, her brain hadn't acknowledged the significance of it. Not at first. Not for half a second.
Then Sandra Evans screamed. It had been the neighbours who'd telephoned the police. Mrs. Evans was still screaming when they arrived.
