James Lewis Books

An adventure thriller that illuminates corruption, poverty and injustice in the developing nations of South America. Available in paperback or e-book (.pdf file).

Franco Jenke and David Martinez are two childhood friends who create a philosophy on how life should be lived in our capitalistic times. After being given the key to acquire an incredible amount of wealth, they devise a plan to spread their millions to the world in a way they believe would benefit mankind more than the normal routes of charitable donations or governmental programs.

Share, Inc. begins in 2017, when Franco uses his extraordinary athletic ability to amass a large fortune in a very short time. David, with his background in world economics, becomes the manager of Franco´s wealth and together the pair clash with both sides of the human spectrum: the obscenely wealthy and the abject poor.

The pair travel South America and encounter resistance to their plan from corrupt government officials, religious organizations, and big business. Along the way they experience physical dangers and finally come up against the world´s most powerful leaders. In this the ME generation, Franco and David attempt to make the world see, through the eyes of the media, that vast amounts of wealth can be shared in a fair and just way. They create a system whereby the individual is allowed to develop based on his/her own level of intellect or talent.

Set slightly in the near future of 2017, Share, Inc. is the story of two men who have a plan to turn the world onto its ear - by sharing their wealth. You got it. Sharing.

Young Franco Jenke is a gifted athlete who, due to his phenomenal ability as a basketball player, amasses a fortune in a very short amount of time. Franco, and his friend David Martinez, whose star lays in managing and investing Franco´s finances, devise a plan that combines daring and goodwill, a plan to open an organization called "Share". After all, how much money does a person need to 'make it' in life ?

The two start off by making loans to people in South America for no collateral, knowing full well that they will soon run into problems with local governments and businesspeople that don´t like the way the two do business. So, unsurprisingly and despite their good intentions, Franco and David are soon threatened from every direction - banks, wealthy business owners, and yes, even governments. But they persist, determined to prove to the world at large that generosity, compassion and wealth can be shared with very little sacrifice to their own personal comfort. The trouble is, can Franco and David reach their goals before the threats against them become deadly and put an end to their amazing ambitions ?

Share, Inc. is a very well written tale by an author obviously well versed in South American culture. Author Lewis' characters are well defined, as is his realistic dialog. While many may not think a book such as this could have much of a plot, it does. The strength of Franco and David´s characters shine through as the storyline develops, and actually leaves the reader wishing beyond anything that such a scenario could one day come to pass. All in all, this is a very satisfying read that won´t disappoint.
