Wayward Souls

Wayward Souls-A Renaissance, has a very Bohemian, enchanting style, that the "Gypsy" Author, Carol L. Zuber portrays in this wonderful book.

"Poets, for centuries, have delved into the realms of their souls. To some they were madmen, to others, great minds beyond reproach. Self-expressionism is timeless." -Carol L. Zuber    Excerpt
From "Scarred Templar", "Arctic Zone" and "Celtic Offspring", these poems are among Carol's favorites.

"Poetry collection that will enchant the reader forever"

Wayward Souls-A Renaissance
Carol L. Zuber
ISBN: 0-595-09655-7

"Carol's collection of poems are described as "Bohemian style verses", and I must agree. Her poems, though short, hold the reader's imagination and draws them into Carol's fantasy reality. Being drawn into Carol's travels, I was able to sit by her side as she wrote the poems and see what she saw. I too could hold the wonder of the Scottish mists, or the dense fogs of England and see the beauty of a streetlight, all through Carol's eyes. I read her collection in one sitting, and returned to the collection the next day. I have found myself now having read the book actually four times. I am very enchanted by this collection of poems. I don't know if it is her style, her unique way of putting worlds inside my head or if I just appreciate the escape feeling I get when I read her poetry, but I do know I highly enjoy this collection with all my heart. 49 poems and an epilogue that bring readers into a whole new world as seen through this "gypsy" writer. Carol included white and black photos that blend into and with the poems, and even if she didn't add them, the poems would stand alone, but they do help bring the reader into a whole new world that otherwise they would never have known. As I sit here typing this, I am trying to come up with my favorite poem of hers and I am having trouble coming up with just one, so I will just say that her poems relating to her travels in Scotland, Ireland and in her own life are some of my favorites. I would hope all poetry readers would purchase this collection and enjoy the beauty of this writer's words as I have, and find that they too, will return constantly to this book."
