MacGregor's Curse takes place in the 13th century Scottish Highlands. An adventure of courage beyond measure and a love that is beyond time.

Elizabeth MacKinley is immediately drawn into the mysterious world of the handsome Jacob MacGregor when she reaches the Highlands in Scotland on a scientific grant.

Jacob tells her of a 700 year old curse that has been put on the MacGregor lands, due to his ancestor Alexander, keeping the lands haunted and in ruins. Confused, lost and terrified, Elizabeth can't believe it when she wakes up in the year 1295 on the bank of Lake Ness. She learns quickly she must break the curse to find her way home.

Being hunted by the English and in search of the famous Alexander MacGregor, she is swept up in the Wars of Independence. Fighting with William Wallace and changing things in the future that she may never know, she will soon face the worse.

Elizabeth will have to make a heart wrenching decision between two loves that spans across seven centuries.

Excerpt

We had fifty men in the clan from ages 16 and up, not a whole lot when I knew how many English soldiers would be there. We would go to the surrounding clans and try to gather men to help.

When we reached the gates I was pleasantly surprised to see Marcus there. Twenty men followed behind him. Smiling brightly he spoke to Alexander.

"Ye didna think I was going to let ye fight for our freedom alone did you? he asked.

"I didna ken, but I'm glad to see you Marcus." Alexander nodded, patting him on the back.

Marcus gave me an alarming look. "And where do ye think ye're going, lass?"

I rode past Marcus with Alexander by my side. "To fight for my country of course, where else?" I rode on, leaving Marcus behind with his mouth open.

He gave Alexander a sharp glance but Alex just shrugged. "Ye ken as well as I do Marcus, 'tis no use arguing wi' her."
