FAREWELL…PITY PARTY

October of 2003-

The eve of my Modified Mastectomy

With tears in my eyes

I stripped myself and I had a pity party

I knew no one would understand

My dear friends, when I made the plan

I made a conscious decision in my mind not to invite anybody

This was a party just for me and my two lifetime buddies

After all, I was about to part company

with someone who had been close to me

Gloria and Sylvia were their names

They were my little Boob-B twins

Those two went everywhere with me

Sylvia was about to leave Gloria and me

I know that this was all for the best

My poor Sylvia had failed the test

You see, she was endangering all our lives

I had to get rid of her in order to survive

My speech explained the what, where, why

I toasted her and sadly kissed her goodbye

It was ironic, Sylvia was always right

But now Gloria was left in a terrible plight

Gloria was left alone with me

now we keep each other’s company

Sylvia Right is now a memory

Her hang out spot remains empty

Wow, as soon as I can afford it I have to have this book. (Will I ever have any $$$ left over???) I am having a sTuPiD liver transplant and though it's an entirely different deal, I found myself Smiling Thru the Tears as well. You are an amazing and uplifting lady. You inspire me to not be a chicken-shi*!!! Keep the faith.
