No Longer

In that eerie moment
As the white voices
Were echoing in my head
I was oblivious to the
Outside world
The newness of the experience
Clung in my throat
Like a wet cloth
The threat of pleasure
Unimaginable and
Diaphanous wings
Float her out
Over the lake

 

Water

Rain showers though cool
And too often dark
In the summer renew
Sending pea sprouts bursting
Ocean waves though cool
And too often dangerous
Send me into oblivion
On a canvas chaise
The saline
Ruins the virus
River currents
Call forth in chant
Find the crystals
Wade to your knees
A past life porpoise
Or merely recognition
Of what is essential
