Each Death Draws Us Closer
Dena's Poetry: Love, Loss, & the Occult

Each Death Draws Us Closer explores the intense, darker side of erotic love and the depth of emotions that are stirred when passionate love borders on obsession. This is a work of Dark Love Poetry...when a relationship falters or when one feels abused or abandoned by a lover, darker emotions may creep into our thoughts. Despite the pain and sometimes overwhelming feelings within, there is also the reminder that there is always a new life up ahead, a new chance to heal old karmic wounds and reunite in tender love...Dena L Moore explores these emotions through the imagery of Blood, Bones, Crypt, & Sea.

Excerpt

Each Death Draws Us Closer

‘Tis my blood I give you, darkling,
Pulsating there at the base of my throat…
Let your lips linger, so warm against my flesh,
Hands cradling my head as you feed,
Devouring me in the early morning hours.
The thrust of your teeth mimics the dance of our hips,
Penetrating to the very depths of my Spirit,
So deep…plunging into the ocean of my wilderness -
(I surround you)
Tight and hot shroud drawing closer and closer,
Pulling you…urging you to one of many deaths -
(You shudder, your voice shattered)
I welcome the taste of your mystery,
The sweet smell of mingled pain, beautiful tears,
And otherworldly laughter…
We raise the sky together, set the chariot’s course,
The Moon and the Sun -
Flesh of my flesh,
Blood of my blood moving inside of me,
Burrowing through thick mist and heavy rains.

‘Tis my Soul I give you, darkling,
Each death draws us closer…
We will never part.
