Eye of the Eagle Retreat & Wellness Centre

Through the Eye of the Eagle is a historical novel that delves into the spiritual life of a woman of the Montagnais Tribe that lived in Northern Ontario prior to the white settlement of their lands.

Wishna-hea was the woman of the Spiritual Leader of the Montagnais, who were the true warrior faction of the Algonquin Nation. The story begins with her abduction by their enemy, the Mohawk, and take you through to her becoming the hope of all her people. It is also the story of my own connection with this amazing woman. It was not only the story of my past, but also became the story of my future as well.

Excerpt
"You have taken my woman, and have dishonored her, and now you shall die.

A great roar, greater than the loudest thunder boomed throughout the lands of the Algonguin, and fear was struck in everyone's soul. Even the animals of the forest felt the powers that had been unleashed.

Terror entered Lachta as the claw of the greatest bear the north had ever known swung down and impailed his body, lifting him high into the air.
