Cheryl Booth's Life Of Spirit

The moving coming-of-age story of modern-day psychic medium Cheryl Booth. Still in contact with the spirit of her severely disabled brother, Booth’s anecdotes and case studies show that what we see here on Earth is not all that we get!

The Mountain, The Song, & The Phone Call

Note: Sherri Mills-Anderson has granted me permission to include her moving testimonial, as well as the conclusion to this particular case, here. Actual names are given and their experience is quite touching. Sherri’s testimonial is at the end.

In 1997, a brother and sister came to me for a reading. Their older brother had been missing for two years. The last time anyone saw him alive was on a camping trip in the Colorado mountains. This fellow was considered a great outdoorsman, an extremely experienced mountain climber, so when he started up the mountain one afternoon, his son and his brother thought nothing of staying at base camp, telling Jim they would see him upon his return.
He signed in at the highest-level ranger station, and that’s the last anyone heard from him. As I began to tune into Jim’s energy, I got the familiar chills I experience when those in Spirit are talking with me. The very first thing he transmitted was, “You have to tell my family that my physical body is dead.”
So I took a deep breath and shared this with them. The sister began to cry. Even though they knew this was probably the case, there was a hopefulness that perhaps somehow, someway, for some unbeknownst reason, Jim might have simply decided to disappear and start life over somewhere else. Maybe he had amnesia. All kinds of things must run through families’ minds in this sort of case, any possible way to hang onto the belief their loved one might still be alive keeps them going, yet always wondering.
He went on to give many accurate details about his life and his family. In fact, his brother and sister came back a couple of weeks after that with a topographical map and Jim pinpointed an area where he said his body had struck a ledge in the fall he took, and it would be found in a crevace. His brother, also a mountain climber, identified that as being the most sheer, treacherous side of that mountain and told me rescuers refused to search there, out of fear of losing the search team’s lives. Jim was aware of all this, but insisted in that reading and every subsequent one I did for his family, that his body would one day be found. He really wanted this to happen, especially for his kids’ sake, so they could get closure and move on.
At the end of the first reading, Jim’s sister said, “Cheryl, I’m not asking you this to test you or anything like that. Jim has given so much great evidence, I believe you really are in touch with him. But would you mind just asking him if he has anything to say about a phone call and a song, please?”
I nodded, and telepathically sent up the request. Jim came back quickly with, “Rocky Mountain High.”
My left brain to this day still tries to interject while I’m doing readings, and that day was no exception. It guffawed, basically, and tauntingly said, “Oh, Cheryl, come ON! That’s just what you want it to be because it was in Colorado. How obvious will that sound, if you say that?”
I was about to cave in and ignore it when it felt like Jim was jumping up and down inside my head, overriding that dubious, nagging voice.
“NO! Cheryl, you’ve got to say, ‘John Denver’s Rocky Mountain High.’ Please just say it!”
So I did. His sister started crying again and through her tears said, “Oh, my God! Wow. The day after Jim disappeared, his girlfriend got a phone call and that song was playing. But nobody was there!”
My chills intensified.
“We always wondered if it was his way of letting her know he had gone on into Spirit. And now I believe that’s right.”
“Yeah, so do I!” I replied. “Your brother is certainly one of the most powerful, accurate communicators I’ve ever connected with. Wow!”
I believe Jim is such a great communicator from that dimension, because communication was his field in this one. He was a television reporter and producer, and did a lot of stage acting. So it was something he’s very comfortable with, which is a great blessing to any medium. This particular case study has an interesting conclusion. Eight years after that first reading, I got a call from Sherri, his sister. We had been in touch over the years and I’d done a number of readings for the family. But the call I got the week of September 19, 2005 was very unusual, and extremely gratifying.
She left me a message that said, “Cheryl, I had to call you. Yesterday, some guys who do extreme repelling were working their way down Jim’s mountain, right where he showed you on the map. One of them thought he saw some clothing, and thank God they decided to investigate. They found his body under some snow, along with his backpack, containing his I.D., so it’s a positive match. Thank you so much, Cheryl. That’s the good news, even though it’s stirred up more grief, in some ways.” She paused, her voice understandably a bit shaky. “We’re planning a memorial there next week. I’ll talk with you more when we get home.”
I am so thankful to Jim for being the terrific communicator he is and for never giving up on believing his remains would be discovered. The more I told his story over the years, the more I believed he would be found, too. Now his family can finally have true peace in knowing he is in the Light and has been, this entire time.

This is the testimonial of Sherri Mills-Anderson, reproduced as she wrote it. She has entitled it Following the Trail of Memories:

“In the majestic southwest mountains of Colorado, in the Sangre de Cristo range (which means the “blood of Christ”), Jim Mills came to the end of his life. This is a sacred place for many vision quests.
Jim Mills’ last climb was August 17, 1995. My younger brother Dave was with him, but they separated on the way up, because Dave felt an accident was imminent. He just got the inner feeling that “it was the wrong day.” Jim proceeded, but never returned to base camp that day.
Enter Cheryl Booth. I sought her out in 1997 due to her excellent reputation as a psychic medium, and her ability to help find missing persons. Dave and I met with her for a reading and she said Jim was there in Spirit. She explained that a bird had spooked him and he’d fallen off the mountain, landing on a ledge and then in a crevace, far below. Jim said it was “a dumb mistake.”
I’ve had readings off and on with Cheryl in the eight years since that first contact, where she has always brought in Jim’s spirit and the feeling that we were getting closer to the discovery of Jim’s remains. He always insisted his body would be found, so that the family could get closure and peace about this. Cheryl even circled the area on a topographical map, with Jim’s guidance, as to where his body was located.
In February, 2005 at a group gathering where she was giving messages, Cheryl told us Jim’s remains would be found soon. The ten-year anniversary of his disappearance was August, 2005, and on September 11, 2005, his remains were spotted on the mountain by local climbers. Our family received the call we had waited for so long, from the Sheriff’s Department.
They said after the fall in 1995, Jim had settled on a ledge after falling between three hundred and a thousand feet. This was very close to the area Cheryl had marked on the map.
Our family is forever grateful to Cheryl Booth for bringing us peace in this process, through her accuracy and comforting nature. She let us know Jim was safe in the Spirit World, and that his personality was still intact. Cheryl has amazing talents as a psychic medium, and has taught me so much about the afterlife.
On October 1, 2005 our family scattered Jim’s ashes on the same mountain where for all those years, Native American spirits protected him.
Thank you, Cheryl Booth, for we now have closure and peace, just as Jim wanted.” Sherri Mills-Anderson
I’d like to give you another way to open up your frequency channel between dimensions. Try to do this at a regular time of day, on the same day of the week, if you decide to commit to doing it weekly. Establishing routine in this practice helps you develop the mindset of opening to receive messages as well as letting those you want to connect with know you are seriously interested. It’s like anything else truly worthwhile, you get better with practice. That psychic “muscle” needs some stretching and working out, just like any other physical, mental or emotional muscle.
Once you’ve picked your scheduled time (I would highly suggest putting this in your Day Timer or Palm Pilot. Make it a priority to keep that time slot open for this communication and don’t let anything else interfere, just as you would with any other type of class you are very serious about). You may wish to say a brief prayer of protection before you start, just stating that you are only interested in working with energies from the Divine Light, then call in any angels and guides you wish to surround you with a loving circle of light. Light a candle, if you like, and either focus on the flame, or close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths. Keep your hands on your lap in a palms upward, open position. This puts your physical self in a stance of receiving, allowing. I always tell folks, “Hold your hands out as if someone were going to place a gift there, because that’s really what they’re trying to do.”
Then just send up a mental request or speak it aloud, if you prefer, that goes something like, “Hi, Dad/Mom (whomever you would like to reach). I’m going to be quiet for a few minutes and just want to invite you to do your best to send me a picture, some words, a strong feeling…whatever you are able to, just so I can get used to our communicating this way. Thanks a lot. I love you!” You can use your own words, of course. Just try to keep it short and sweet, and then take slow deep breaths to help stop your mental chatter. Try holding the tip of your tongue still against your lower teeth. It’s a physical point of focus and actually is very effective at stilling the mind for many people.
Then willingly receive whatever comes, doing your best to accept the first impression that comes through. The more we allow our analytical left brain to engage and question, the more likely we are to talk ourselves out of a great message. It’s true! Your loved one may choose to get your attention through imagery, words, they may even send you the scent of something you would associate as a strong memory of them, as mentioned earlier. They figure if they can’t reach us on a pure mental stream, we’ve got five other senses, and they’ll start tapping into those! So don’t be surprised if you get a signal that way sometime. If so, great! They’ve got your attention. Now it’s time to relax and follow the other steps in order to see what it is they’d like you to know. Practice, practice, practice. Be patient with yourself, and with them. Some of them may not have believed in this type of communication during their most recent earthly experience, so it’s pretty new to them, too!

Professional Reviews

Great TRUE story that will touch your heart, no matter what your belief system!
Cheryl Booth's honest, compelling autobiography, is a great story of human spirit, overcoming loss and other curves life often throws us. Her brother Johnny's strength, inner peace and wisdom will inspire and uplift you. Booth's concept that those who enter the earthly plane with such challenges are often evolved souls gives the reader much to consider.

This is a wonderful book for those whose lives have been touched by anyone with special needs, as well as those who believe that life on earth is not "all there is." Beautifully and humbly written, Cheryl's gifts as a medium shine; whether through the telling of many case studies, including an amazing one in which her intuition accurately contributed to the discovery a missing mountain climber, or her sharing of what she's learned from those on the other side, her talents are evident. She encourages the reader to believe that all of us can develop such gifts.

A writer and medium definitely on a par with John Edward, George Anderson, Rosemary Altea and others, Cheryl Booth's story is one you shouldn't miss. Buy this book - read it again and again. You'll love it more each time! Marsha Anderson, Motivational Speaker

A Great Heart's Journey
I've just finished reading Cheryl's book. She has accomplished so much more than simply keeping her promise to her brother John. It was a trip back in time also. She beautifully and openly relives her childhood, managing to take you with her and embedding John in your heart. She has written a great, heartwrenching and ultimately uplifting story, one of those that opens another door of understanding in your heart and mind. If one of your goals is to keep finding ways to look at the world through better eyes, read this book.
