Death to Diabetes

Explains how to use God's super foods, spiritual health, education, exercise, and blood glucose testing to beat diabetes -- from the perspective of an ex-diabetic who almost died of a diabetic coma with a blood glucose level of 1337

This book explains the 4 major root causes of Type 2 diabetes and how to properly control and reverse the disease. This is based on an easy-to-follow, systematic 6-stage process, 200 clinical studies/medical references, and the experience of an ex-diabetic engineer. This book will help you learn how to: Retrain your body to increase its glucose uptake and utilization of insulin, using 5 key nutrients; Avoid the 7 most common mistakes that diabetics make; Save time and money in preparing nutritious meals that lower glucose levels; Enjoy exercise in less time while increasing glucose uptake and energy level; Use your blood glucose test results to reduce your insulin resistance; Enjoy your favorite foods without increasing your glucose level; Select quality nutritional supplements based on 7 key criteria; Determine the 8 core nutritional supplements for most diabetics and the 4 critical nutrients to optimize exercise results; Use the wellness protocols to prevent, control or reverse problems with the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart; and, lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and homocysteine; Control appetite and eliminate food cravings; Program your body to burn fat and lose weight (fat) permanently; Use your inner spirit to reduce your stress and improve your physical and mental health; and, Work with your doctor to safely wean yourself off the drugs. In addition, this book defines the 5 super foods, the 5 "dead" foods, a Super Meal Model and the 8 "living" elements (activities) -- all designed to work synergistically to reduce insulin resistance, increase glucose uptake, burn fat, and repair the sick cells.

Absolutely Incredible Results!!!
This book is a MUST read for anyone with Type 2 Diabetes. After trying the program for just 3 days, my BS levels dropped 150 points and are still going down. I am hopeful that I will have a full reversal and will someday be medication free.
This is a simple program to follow, that will change your life completely. Your body will be fed the foods it needs to heal itself and you will no longer crave the "dead" foods that Mr.McCully speaks of in his book.
I can't thank Mr. McCulley enough for writing this book and sharing his own near death experience with diabetes. The plan he devised REALLY works! It's just amazing to see my BS levels dropping daily. When diagnosed in Oct 2005, my BS was 460 and with meds and the doctors direction, I couldnt get it below 300 on most days. I took it this morning, after being on Mr. McCulley's program now for 10 days and my BS level was 122. I think that's pretty incredible.
I feel as if I have control over my sugar for the first time since being diagnosed and I owe it all to Mr. McCulley.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

This Book is Changing My Life for the Better!
This book is changing my life, and I don't have Type II Diabetes! Notice on the cover that it also has tombstones for Obesity and High Blood Pressure. If I could read the other tombstones they would probably have other diseases engraved on them. I am Insulin Resistant and overweight which I learned from this book is a precursor to Diabetes Type II. I have tried everything for years (various food programs and various forms of exercise) and have not been able to lose weight.

Until now.

This book is written from DeWayne McCulley's personal experience at beating Type II Diabetes and I can tell from this book he has done a great deal of research. I've read many health books, but this is the first health book that I've read that takes me one or more steps beyond the others to explain why I should do something or why something happens the way it does. For example, my personal trainer said I should warm up for 5 minutes, weight train, do cardio for at least 20 minutes (with 5 minutes warming up and 5 minutes cooling down), and then perform a series of stretches. It worked for me for a while, but then I got smart and thought if I do cardio first, I should lose weight faster, but in fact I gained more weight - and DeWayne McCulley explains why this happens and why we need to exercise in a certain order - and the proper super foods we need to consume and when to consume them!

I use this book like I use an encyclopedia; I pick it up and start reading in any chapter and I'm not able to put it down until I finish the chapter! I have learned a great deal, have implemented the author's suggestions, and Iknow I will learn a great deal more as I continue to read this book.

This book is not theory, it's real. DeWayne McCulley's personal story is so inspiring -- there is hope for diabetics. It walks you through each step (stage) in easy-to-follow steps. If you want to understand the science, it's in there. If you just want to get better, you can just follow the steps. If you want to do your own research, it gives you medical references. And, I've never read a health book that provided inspirational quotes from people like Oprah, Muhammad Ali, and Arthur Ashe. This book does not ignore the power of the human spirit; and, it gives you ideas how to use that spirit to get well! It even warns you about some of the health scams and healthy foods that are not healthy -- and it explains why. And, there is so much more.

It explains in simple terms why people are diabetic and what they can do to change that in a short period of time. It explains why most vitamin supplements don't work and how to figure out if your supplements are any good. You can become your own expert by reading this book.

I went to DeWayne McCulley's website ([...]) -- you can look at his actual medical records (on the About Author page). And, you can look inside the book on the Book Highlights page, where DeWayne has given us various pages from Chapters 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, the Appendix, and the Index which adds up to 62 pages of his book!

This book is so easy to read and follow
I picked this book for my mother. There were key points made in this book that I didn't find in other books about diabetes. Plus the cover was dramatic. It was a hit. She loved it and referred back to it whenever I put something in my mouth. I was just skimming through and ended up reading the entire book. I found the book enjoyable to read. People kept seeing me with the book and thought I had diabetes. I told them I didn't but the book went deeper than just diabetes. It hit on high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and losing weight.

The author not only explains factors about diabetes, he break it down so that anyone can understand. I do not have diabetes but it runs in my family. I am trying to do some "prevention" tactics now. There are recipes given that are so easy and fast to make. I would recommend this book for people with diabates and without. It has helped me to undertand my system and why I should and shouldn't eat certain foods.

Following the advice of the book, I lost weight and I am still losing weight. Before, I couldn't loose a pound and keep it off. It's like the book was written just for me and I don't have diabetes! This book is well worth $ I spent. Both my mother and myself love it!

Reader Reviews for "Death to Diabetes"

Reviewed by Jennifer Johnson 4/10/2010
"Death to Diabetes" is a great book, because it actually works!

I've read a lot of diabetes books -- this was the first one that actually worked!

Death to Diabetes is a must-read for all diabetics and non-diabetics, and doctors.

After reading 10 books on diabetes, I thought that most of the diabetes books out there were a waste of money. Until I bought my 11th book: "Death to Diabetes" about 2 years ago.

At that time my husband was facing insulin shots because the metformin wasn't working anymore after his doctor increased his dosage and added another diabetic drug.

My husband didn't want to go on the shots, so he was willing to try anything if it would delay going on the shots. Within 3 weeks, my husband's fasting BS returned to an average of 101 (from the low 200s). Within another 3-4 weeks his post-meal BS reduced to 110 (from a previous average of 170). So his doctor delayed putting him on insulin.

By the 3rd month he lost 37 pounds and also lowered his blood pressure -- his doctor was shocked but encouraged me to continue with my meal planning (which was based on the Death to Diabetes diet program). His doctor reduced my husband's blood pressure and diabetic meds.

After about a year, after a complete physical, my husband's doctor told him he could temporarily stop taking the diabetic meds and the blood pressure drugs. When he returned for his 6-month check-up, his doctor said his blood work was excellent: 89 BS, 4.9 A1C, 115/85 BP!!

The bonus for me was that during this time because I was eating what my husband ate, I lost 22 pounds! and I've never felt so full of energy! So I recommend the Death to Diabetes book to non-diabetics as well as diabetics.

p.s. The Death to Diabetes book was written by an engineer who almost died from being in a diabetes coma. His program is based on science and clinical studies, plus his program is measurable and easy to verify. His program is based on eating lots of veggies, plant oils, beans, nuts, juicing, etc. while avoiding flour, HFCS, PHO, processed foods, potatoes, pasta, etc.

p.s. The author refers to hundreds of clinical studies, so his program is not based on anecdotal info.

Note: His website is the same name as his book: www.deathtodiabetes.com

Sincerely,
Jen

p.s. You can find the author on YouTube talking about his recovery from diabetes and insulin shots -- he's tells funny stories about the doctors and the drugs, but his talks are informative.
