God Will Make a Way

Chapter 19 Excerpt

Smash! Shouts! Another smash. Robert quickly jumped out of bed. He raced out of his room and paused to listen. He heard some voices and commotion from downstairs. Just as he started to move, Renee and Julie appeared in the hall. "What's happening?" Both the ladies asked, concern flooding their faces.

"I don't know, you stay here while I go to find out." Robert said and started down the stairs.

He quickly made it to the living room and noticed there were four, not so nice looking, men stood in the house. Mr. + Mrs. Macleod sat on the couch. Robert knew they were scared but could tell they were praying. He noticed the clock on the wall 2:17 am. What did these men want? Why were they here? Obviously their motives were anything but good. He noticed the man in a black leather jacket stood in front of the Macleod's, he had a knife in his hand and appeared to be the leader. The front door was hanging half of its hinges. The other three men were prancing around the room apparently looking for some valuable booty they could gain from this visit.

"Hey," Robert declared in an authoritative voice. "What do you gentlemen want?"

The four men immediately took notice of Robert and moved in towards him. He was encircled by them.

"You got a problem?" the leader asked as he thrust his knife forward just missing Roberts arm.

"That is what I want to know." Robert stated unmoved by the apparent danger.

This is a story of a woman’s faith, loyalties and love. As a young child Renee learns of heartache, and her life falls around her when she learns of her parents’ death. Hearing her father’s voice the night of his death telling her “God will make a way” she finds peace and contentment. Growing up with her grandmother, she becomes a pillar of the community helping everyone that falls in her path.

Renee – a strong independent woman, she finds herself on a journey, trying to find the right path to follow Jesus upon. Her fellow worshipers in her church of twelve years find it hard and do not understand why she wants to leave them and follow her hearts desire to be in Scotland to serve God.

Stuart – Is a confident man with a heart full of love and forgiveness. He knows who his one true love is before he has ever met her with the help of God. He was shown the path to follow, following it with his heart open. He never judges anyone treating them all equally.

Tracy describes her characters and scene’s very well; you can envision the people there in the room along with you. You can smell the wet grass in Scotland. She writes with a great passion showing you each and every little detail. It’s a tale of love and passion.

I am not a religious person but I found this book pulling me deeper and deeper into its folds. I got to the stage where I could not put it down. Only putting it down when I had too. I found it to be a great read, well described and an inspiration. I would recommend this book to any person that’s after a good romance. I wish Tracy great success in all her work.
